MERGE workshop on Advanced Materials for Sustainability, held on the 11th and 12th of November 2024, marked a dynamic start in sharing knowledge in MERGE and beyond!
MERGE promotes collaborative research among VSB and organisations that are top-class experts in single-atom catalysts (SACs) for valorising waste biomass into green and high-value chemicals. As a first step in this direction, MERGE held a two-day workshop with subject "Advanced Materials for Sustainability". The workshop was organised by the Materials and Environment Lab and hosted at the Centre of Energy and Environmental Technologies (CEET) of our coordinator VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, on the 11 and 12th of November 2024, in Ostrava, Czechia.
The workshop saw the interaction of all project partners. Among other presentations, VSB presented about solar harvesting of carbon dots, and POLIMI presented about Ni-based single-atom catalysts for biomass valorisation towards valuable green fuels and chemicals.
