MERGE advances research, innovation, and career-development practices and creates a culture of excellence at the Technical University of Ostrava (VSB). To this end, it promotes collaborative research between VSB and two organisations (POLIMI and RUG) that are top-class experts in single-atom catalysts (SACs) for valorising waste biomass into green and high-value chemicals and advanced characterisation for understanding the structure of the catalysts. At the same time, experienced and early-stage VSB researchers from VSB (but also from all partners) receive training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to advance further their scientific and technical expertise and project management/ administrative skills
and open data regarding single-atom catalyst development through our reports and publications
to improve your technical and scientific expertise, as well as your project management and proposal-writing skills
for green chemicals and fuels through the cost-effective and sustainable catalysts we are researching
based on the approach we followed in strategic plans, experimental design, monitoring methodologies and fundraising initiatives
from our trainings, workshops, schools and conferences to spur knowledge transfer in your organisation
